Forty Hurt In Trolley Collision In Los Angeles

Los Angeles December 24 Forty or more persons were injured in a collision of three street cars at Beeoml and Spring streets. A West Second street car on a steep hill gained control poorly and crashed into another car, which struck a Hollywood car turning over. Passengers were injured across all cars. motormen and conductors were among the injured.

Van Nuys Hotel Blaze Destroys LA Landmark

In Los Angeles a major fire destroyed much of the Van Nuys Broadway hotel, trapping guests in bed and forcing rapid evacuation.
