Silver City New Mexico December 19 governor-elect B C de Baca plans to take oath January 1 in Santa Fe possibly by stretcher after pernicious anemia diagnosis. Examiner reports he has received blood transfusions and will return to Santa Fe to assume office if able.
Los Angeles reports Governor-elect of New Mexico, C de Haca, who arrived in a serious condition from pernicious anemia, plans to return to Santa Fe for his oath of office. Doctors say he has improved after three blood transfusions and remains hospitalized but is stabilizing.
Washington dispatches report the appointment of Kazueshodam as Japan's minister of finance. The change follows Tokyo's nomination of the vice minister of finance to lead the ministry.
