Federal forces seize Northwestern railroad for swift troop movement to the front. Passengers detained amid food shortages and cold nights. General Hernandez directs operations. trains loaded with 400 soldiers and horses under tight guard, as skirmishes reported near San Andres and Terrazas.
Washington dispatch reports another clash between federal troops and revolutionists in Mexico. A telegram from Enrique Creel, Mexican foreign relations minister, was received tonight by the department of state indicating Navarro Porches defeated Rebp is at Padernales.
La Barra the Mexican ambassador in Washington reports General Navarro's troops defeated the revolutionists in the district of Guerr a at a point called Padernales. The remainder of the rebels is being steadily pursued and the rest of the republic is in peace.
Enrique Creel, Mexican foreign relations minister, says the republic is peaceful except Guerrero. He describes revolutionary forces near Padranales being routed and predicts scattered groups will be hunted by federal troops. Washington dispatch reports Governor Sloan predicts Arizona will hold the constitutional vote by January 15 1911 and that if approved the state government may operate by the end of the current fiscal year.
