At the Dumbre ranch on American property in Chihuahua State nearly two days, 150 bandits attacked fifteen ranch men defended the outpost until federal troops from Parral dispersed them after appeal from American Consul J J Tong. Troops killed thirty two attackers in the action.

In Nogales Arizona Andrew Yesbit a US cavalryman sentenced to ten years for murder and three accomplices escaped from the county jail by sawing through the jail bars. Four prisoners were left in their cells and recaptured youth convicted of burglary. Yesbit and two others remain at large in Mexico.
C N Johnson of Rockford Illinois told how he lost his savings and home after investing with A L Wisner and Company charged with mail fraud. He described being duped by Meyers and Wisner agents who promised safe big dividends and cash homes for stock. The scheme collapsed as the firm went bankrupt.
Alfalfa millers from Kateas Nebraska Oklahoma and Colorado closed their semi annual meeting in Wichita with a prediction of 20 million dollars in alfalfa product output this year and adopted uniform grading rules to protect millers.
President-elect Woodrow Wilson warned in New York that any attempt to trigger a monetary panic to discredit his policies would meet public disgrace. He differentiated natural from deliberate panics and urged transparency, urging officials to stand up and be counted while stressing leadership and economic resolve.
