Edward alive Kid Gardiner 21 was knocked out in a six round bout with Johnny Kain 21 at the Nonpariel Athletic club. In round five Kain floored Gardiner with a right hook and Gardiner left the ring unconscious with a fractured skull. Kain was arrested.
