King Leopold Dies After Prolonged Illness in Belgium

Brussels reports King Leopold II died at 2 35 in the morning after a long illness and failed hopes for recovery. Doctors noted a sudden decline despite earlier signs of improvement and a nurse first noticed labored breathing before emergency measures. Albert arrived with Clementine as ministers gathered to discuss state affairs.

Wreck of Belated Santa Fe Train At Winona Reaches Albuquerque

The belated Santa Fe No. 8 wrecked at Winona arrived in Albuquerque at 2:30 AM. Injured include Mrs. Martha Platt with a broken nose and other injuries. Mrs. Hart treated at home. A Maber a Har vey news agent knee injured but able to walk. Maynard Gunasol shaken but unhurt. Mrs. Walter Steiner transported from San Francisco to Wisconsin to Santa Fe hospital. Mrs Stolser with back injuries. Most passengers declined further medical aid and continued eastward.

Dozen Dead in Southern Railway Wreck at Heedy Fork
