Central Americans protest Taft Knox policy and Zelaya asylum. The Guerrero could reach harbors while Yorktown and Vicksburg cannot, giving Mexico a possible shelter for Zelaya. US marines would be needed to block access, or risk diplomatic crisis and potential conflict with Mexico.
Citizens of five Central American republics gathered in Mexico City denounced US actions regarding Nicaragua and Zelaya. A committee's resolutions sent to President Taft and Secretary Knox oppose perceived US interference and call for peaceful mediation, urging vigilance against American domination.

In Butte Mont December 14 Members of the Brotherhood of Mailway Trainmen who walked out on December 1 causing a three day shutdown will return to work tomorrow. President McIntyre announced that formal conditions will be restored and mines and smelters in Great Falls are expected to resume within a few days.
Seattle December 14 Northern Pacific railroad employed twelve experienced men to replace striking switchmen. Superintendent C K B McMullin said the new workers came from Portland and Canada. The railroad now has thirteen engines and crews at work.
A derailment last night near Northeast Pennsylvania killed three Italian laborers and injured many as trains No. 26 and the Twentieth Century limited collided in a storm. Officials cite a missed red lamp warning and rapid speeds. a rigid inquiry is promised.
Morning Journal reports Louisvile eight year old Alma Kellner remains missing after claims by Prank Fehr that kidnappers are responsible. Fehr says Alma is held in Louisville and dismisses rumors of family issues while denying any reward. No new leads or state rewards announced.
