Banana City reports three masked bandits robbed the Livestock Exchange lobby of 96,000 after forcing five bank messengers to surrender five money packages. Credit manager Thomas F. Henry of Drovers National was shot and injured but expected to recover. A companion bandit car was later found abandoned.

In Gallup New Mexico on December 12 Mr and Mrs Jewel Kidwell of Gibson mourn the death of their five year old daughter. After dressing the child the mother left momentarily and found the child dying from choking. An autopsy at St Mary hospital found death caused by a No 8 screw about an inch long lodged in the windpipe, killing the child within minutes.

Delegates back repealing the Fact-Cummins railroad law and seek public control of water power, direct election of president and vice president, and broader direct primaries.
Chicago dispatch reports Ken McKenzie of Altona New York taxation director of the American Farm Bureau Federation warned at the organization’s fourth annual convention that the national revenue system faces collapse unless tax free securities are prohibited He cited an estimated 106000606000 in tax free securities and argued for taxation of national banks He urged restoring the excess profits tax and noted payroll losses in the tax department and a need for higher salaries to retain staff He warned stock dividends flood the market with low tax rates for long held shares and demanded immediate fixes to the 1921 tax laws.
