Albuquerque residents voted 762 for the £100,000 bond to fund a new high school, with only fifteen opposed. The Fourth Ward led in support, while the Second Ward showed the strongest opposition. Superintendent John Milne and the Board of Education led the campaign, aided by students acting as poll workers and volunteers who mobilized voters throughout the day.
The board will canvass the returns at its regu lar session on the first Monday in January. After that, bonds must be advertised for sale and bids opened after thirty days. Sale likely at par to the lowest interest bid, with Mayo date expected and local architects noted.

In Tooele Utah on December 10 Pearl Stinner a year old girl displayed rare forethought before dying from burns. She was singing her baby sister to sleep when her dress caught fire from a live coat. She placed the baby on a chair and asked her mother to tend to it then ran into the yard and into the snow. She died shortly after.
Washington December 10 The new dreadnought Arkansas sails from Hampton Roads today toward Key West to carry President Taft if he travels to Panama. It is accompanied by the battleship Delaware in Taft’s tentative plan to board the Arkansas at Key West on December 19 and sail for Colon.
Nine witnesses testified in Cincinnati on December 10 in the trial of President John F. Patterson and twenty nine other National Cash Register officials charged with violating the Sherman act. Testimony covered smashed Hallwood machines and threats against National agents.
