Special dispatch reports New Mexico canvass when nine of twenty six counties were counted Guadalupe shows Republicans leading by twelve votes over unofficial figures Lincoln county unchanged. Board to finish counts in Luna McKinley Mora and Taos next while Taos sees GOP losses and Medler leads by about thirty over Hewitt.
Margaret Swope testifies in the murder case against Dr. Hyde over Colonel Thomas H. Swope's death. She describes illness in the Swope home and says Hyde injected her arm with a substance without proper examination. The nurse heard the doctor leave the room after the injection.
The Persian nationalist committee of Sanadat with headquarters in Constantinople cables Washington urging the United States to use its diplomatic good offices. It seeks not only moral support but tangible backing to influence the Persian government during the current crisis.
Frederick Lundin of Chicago testified before the Senate committee investigating the Lorimer election. Yuan Shi Kai seeks to quell uprising while terms for a constitutional settlement appear bluff. A late fire near the Forbidden City is suspected arson.
Shanghai dispatch reports General Chang Hisu and imperial troops destroying a rebel band 100 miles up the Tien Tein Pu Kow railroad after a city escape. Revolutions allege bridge demolitions northward. Wu Ting Fang claims no knowledge of Wu Chang constitutional monarchy talks.

Mrs. Thomas widow of a Butte millionaire testified that she married John W. Phillips, the plaintiff’s former husband, and obtained an annulment. Mrs. Phillips said she and Phillips lived in harmony for fourteen years until Mrs. Thomas intervened.
An explosion of gas followed by fire destroyed the Wichita Pipe Line pumping station one mile south of Wichita Kansas. Three men were inside. one named William Brown injured. Loss valued at about 300000 dollars as eight inch line burned and gas shutoff required bringing in a hog shooter district line from Oklahoma.
The American Society of Equity adopted resolutions in Chicago urging President Taft to remove Secretary of Agriculture Wilson over his stance on pure food and beer and his attitude toward Dr. Wiley. Dr. W. J. Worst of North Dakota Agricultural College was suggested as a successor. Commission men were condemned and members urged to push direct-from-farmer sales through cooperatives.
In Mineola New York this afternoon William Simonson piloted a biplane with Lee Hammond as observer He fired a twelve gauge shotgun killing three blackbirds and two arrows lodged in a tree nearby fell as victims of his aim.
In New York a tearful Lillian Graham described her troubled romance with W. E. D. Stokes, the hotel magnate slain after a June 7 confrontation at the Ansonia. She testified about threats, detainment at Stokes' stock farm, self-defaming letters, and the shooting occurence when a weapon discharged during a struggle with Stokes.
Washington December 8 The inter mountain rate Case was docketed in the supreme court. The cases involve the constitutionality and interpretation of the long and short haul amendment of 1910 to the Interstate Commerce Act. Government will seek early hearing.
A Chicago and Alton passenger train known as the Red Flyer derailed near Alma Missouri ten miles from Higginsville late this afternoon. Several passengers were injured though none seriously. The train left St. Louis at 9 06 pm and was due in Kansas City at 6 20 this evening. The cause of the accident is unknown.
