W M Whittington transfers to El Reno Oklahoma as general manager of the Southern and Choctaw divisions. T H Beacon moves from Trenton Missouri to succeed him. Baxley and Copley shift to fill Beacon and Musley posts. Promotions take effect December 15.
A San Francisco banker identified as W. Hi Crocker has been named as defendant in a 250000 libel suit filed in New York. The case, allegedly based on a letter criticizing graft trials, centers on Francis Gener as plaintiff.
Denver December 7—The trial of Errent L Powers and Ilan Byl L McCubne, accused members of the Maybray gang of alleged fake swindlers, began today. Powers is charged with inducing J Bowman of Denver to bet fourteen thousand dollars on a horse race on June 4, 190%.
