Opening statements set for Monday and testimony to begin Monday afternoon with Harry Orchard likely to testify Tuesday.
Georgetown Kentucky December 6 former Chief Justice Hazelrigg testified in Caleb Powers trial after the Goebel assassination. Witness Gates described similar threats but did not link Powers to the shooting. J Hugh Smith testified he heard Powers threaten Goebel during the November Goebel Taylor race.
Judge Landis refused to allow Standard Oil counsel to insert in the bill of exceptions details of the judgment and immunity claims.
