Austin, December 2. George W. Terrell head of Texas agriculture reports razorback hogs nearly disappear as ton-litter hogs gain popularity. Ten hogs reach six months with weight per litter over a ton, while a McLennan county 12 hog litter reached 8,898 pounds after 180 days of feeding with daily gains of 1.8 pounds. Terrell says nine-tenths of Texas farmers now have registered or good grade hogs. open-range hogs survive where no feeding occurs.
