Washington reports Albert R B Pall former secretary of the interior is invited by the public lands committee to again testify on the Teapot Dome naval oil reserve leasing. Santa Fe New Mexico December 1 reports State Land Commissioner Justiniane Baca received a wire from Senator Walsh of the public lands committee to amend record of former Secretary of the Interior Albert R. Pall’s transactions with that office.

The testimony suggested an effort to influence the New Mexico land office, with Fall opposing oil drilling on state lands to protect grazing. No evidence of his attempt to control the land office beyond political support is confirmed.

Orvin Gilmer the 15 year old of Artuijo was struck by a southbound Ford near South Becond and ridge streets about 6 o clock Friday night. He was taken to St Josephs hospital and treated for a broken right arm severe shoulder trauma and facial bruises. Witnesses could not read the license number or describe the car or driver. He had ridden a bicycle to town to buy a paper for his father who runs a store in Artuijo.

San Diego reports Lieutenant Commander Richard H. Booth, eleventh and last naval officer tried for the Point Honda destroyer wrecks, was acquitted on negligence charges. Of 11 officers tried, three were found guilty in some degree and eight were acquitted. the court degree awaits Navy Department approval in Washington.
New York reports indicate negotiations are under way for the resignation of Charles A. Stoneham from the presidency of the New York National League club after the arrival of baseball commissioner Kenesaw M. Landis. Landis was not available for comment.
Farmington New Mexico reports strong interest in the Hogan K field after well No 6 on the Midwest Refining Co lease shows potential. Executives from Casper Wyoming plan spudding another well near well No 6 with the goal of production before year end. An Ambrosia Lake test rig may move to Hogback Dome to drill additional wells. Los Angeles firm J L Melsted gains two wells, with one in Section 12 near Coal Creek. Drilling to start by February 1, weather permitting.
Washington reports a soldiers' bonus bill drafted by Representative Watkins of Oregon. It funds benefits with a poll tax on immigrants and aliens, higher foreign corporation taxes, a larger inheritance tax, and an excess profits tax. The bonus offers 1.25 dollars daily for foreign service and one dollar for home service, up to 625 dollars, with six payment methods including adjusted service pay and land settlement aid.
