New Orleans August 30 report from semi official sources says thirteen of eighteen train auditors on the Louisiana and Texas lines have been dropped from the payrolls September 1 by Thorwell Fay vice president and general manager. It is believed auditors on this system as far west as the Rio Grande and possibly the Pacific may also be dropped.
