Drunken driver beats cook with beer bottle near Sugarite Canyon
D F Delaney, about 45, was assaulted by Michael Corcoran a Utah Construction driver. The attack occurred on Sugarite canyon road as Delaney was being taken to a railway camp. Delaney was left for dead. Sheriff Littrell and a posse found him and he was taken to a ranch house then Raton. Corcoran was arrested on assault with intent to kill and jailed.
