President Wilson urged Congress to adopt a strict neutrality policy toward Mexico's Huerta government. He warned that arms shipments must be blocked on the border and announced possible追加 troop deployments, while seeking to preserve U.S. aid to civilians and maintain diplomatic relations.

Indianapolis reports Henry Lane Wilson United States ambassador to Mexico denied Senor Gamboa and President Wilson's speech claim that Wilson recognized the Huerta government. He said a diplomatic officer is not authorized to recognize a de jure government and may recognize a de facto government only under urgent circumstances pending instructions.
The Mexican government reports the full correspondence between President Wilsons confidant John Lind and Foreign Minister Gamboa. The state paper reveals Wilsons demands, the Mexican reaction, and the defense of Uertas stance as read in detail at the Foreign Affairs ministry.

James Comenaux, an African American man, was taken from his jail cell early today in Jennings Alabama, shot to death, and left at the jail door. The incident followed an assault on Italian merchant A W Joseph after dirt was swept from the shoe. Joseph's relatives were arrested in connection with the lynching.
Dr Charles W Worthen of White River Junction Vermont found Miss Jessie Wilson unconscious by the roadside near Philadelphia New Hampshire. She had been thrown from her horse while riding with her fiancé Francis B Sayre. Sayre rode ahead and did not know of the accident until the horse passed by. After about half an hour she regained consciousness.
At the Wilson summer home in Cornish New Hampshire it was said tonight that Miss Jessie Wilson had received no serious injury.
