Washington reports Friday unsettled with overcast conditions in eastern portions. Saturday expected to be generally fair with warmer readings in the northeast.
Two boards of county commissioners met yesterday approving $500 appropriations for each county to support participation in the state fair. Dan Miguel and Mora counties plan joint entries and exhibit spaces, aiming to showcase regional products and attract attention at the upcoming event.
San Miguel county commissioners approved a 500 dollar appropriation to fund a first class display of the county's resources at the Albuquerque state fair October 11 to 14. The effort follows a tour by fair commission head R E Putney sheriff Jesus Romero and D A Macpherson aiding efforts in Las Vegas. The county reports a prosperous year with bountiful crops and strong business activity, highlighting advertising value of the fair.
Mora N M August 26 the Mora county commissioners unanimously voted 500 for an exhibit of the county resources at the state fair in Albuquerque this October.
