Denver dispatch reports Sunday and Monday will be partly cloudy with cooler temperatures in the northwest portion.
Local conditions reported yesterday include a maximum of 86 degrees and a minimum of 46 with a 40 degree range. The temperature at six p m was 75 with an east wind and cloudy skies.
Deming New Mexico Aug Capt H N Preston denied reports of clashes between civilians and the Twenty fourth infantry unit station at Deming. He said no friction exists and the battalion was ordered to Columbus likely to make room for training by the Thirty fourth National Guard division at Camp Cody.

Boris de Laskine a Russian general staff special diplomatic courier to Washington was detained on arrival from Honolulu and released after an investigation by justice agents. He condemned the treatment as an outrage and filed a protest with the Russian consulate. He had a Russian passport and trunks were searched aboard the ship before hotel accommodations. He said agents refused contact with the Russian consulate to verify credentials.
The general meeting of bituminous coal operators scheduled in Pittsburgh next Wednesday was postponed by the National Association of Coal Producers board. The directors will meet in Washington next Tuesday to arrange the general conference.
