United States Marshal Flynn ordered Rev William G Krauleidis pastor of the Lutheran church at Kivyg erdale Neb to Fort Riley for internment during the war. He has been held in Grand Island jail on disloyal conduct charges despite church efforts to win release.

Germany also withholds coal unless Dutch miners work in German mines. Holland warns shipyards may close if terms stand. Dutch coal needs unmet as German fuel allotments dry up.
Copenhagen reports German casualty lists may no longer depart Germany delaying public notices and press dissemination amid wartime censorship.
