Denver reports Rowhind Miller a young student has not eaten for forty six days while drinking large amounts of water. He aims to fast ten more days to force health through self imposed starvation due to catarrh and lack of funds. Miller traveled from Wisconsin to Colorado seeking relief and weighed 148 pounds at the start, having lost forty six pounds. He remains strong but enfeebled as his ordeal continues.
Alamogordo dispatch reports A B Fall of Three Rivers Texas and MidPoso Texas was named as a candidate for the constitutional convention. J J Lawson of Alamogordo and George E B Moffett of Oro Grande also nominated to the nonpartisan delegation amid harmonious county conventions in Otero.
Republican and Democratic County Conventions in Hillsboro New Mexico unite to select delegates for the constitutional convention. I H Finston of Fairview, Republican, and Edward D Wittman of Hillsboro, Democrat, chosen as delegates.

Des Moines Aug 20 Walter Smith congressman from the Ninth district states he does not favor Cannon's re election. He hints at his own candidacy while praising the season and his district's stance at the Republican state convention. This fuels belief he is an avowed candidate for the speakership.
A sixteen year old witness reports a group led by John Irving of Neill, formerly a Dallas Baptist minister, engaging in a death fast pact in a Arroyo Seco bungalow. Three companions remain in serious condition as details emerge of a Holy Roller Colony linked to the事件.
John Joseph Piax Borian, accused of murdering 17-year-old Lata Nicholas in Seattle, is to be returned from Mexico to face trial after five years on the run. Missoula Montana Aug 21 a massive wall of fire roared over Wallace Idaho driving hundreds from their homes. Fire swept the hills and reached the city as embers showered roofs and several buildings burned. Railroads turned over cars to refugees and two trains head toward Missoula with fleeing residents while communications fail and danger remains ongoing.
Missoula Montana August 20 Wallace Kiaho is doomed and the town is on fire. The Hamies were first alerted by forest fires reaching the south end as civilians flee by special train toward Kellogg and Wardner. Telegraph and telephone service are down with no word from Wallace since 11 15 p m. Fire rages across the town destroying the Oregon Railway and Navigation depots and major hotels while dynamiting is attempted to halt the flames. Residents evacuate as flames sweep the east side of town and Libby Montana is also said to be in danger. Continued on Page 2 Col 4.
