The Denver & Rio Grande collision near Eden leaves ten dead and nearly twenty injured. Victims include C M McCreary of Dallas and F G Fredick of St Louis, with bodies shipped to homes. Coroner reports and railway losses place total damages around $75,000.
Denver August 15 HM Lessig an engineer on the first engine of the dovatle header that collided with a passenger train on the Denver and Rio Grande at Hysted yesterday and today denied he attempted to commit death by his own action by jumping in front of a Santa Fe train.
