Storker Storkerson and 14 followers drifted on a Arctic ice floe seeking Beaufort Sea currents and new land. They reached Banff to report to Vilhjalmur Stefansson, noting Keenan Land may not exist and discoveries contradicted by currents and sightings.
Washington reports that Lord Ponar Law outlined in the House of Commons the need to readjust Anglo American finances tied to loans and credits. Aug 13 Paso, Texas. Charles Downs, telegraph editor of the El Paso Morning Times, was struck by a streetcar last night. His condition was critical with little hope of survival. Downs, formerly a New Mexico attorney and former member of its legislature, had not regained consciousness by late tonight.
