Leo Perrin, former Cedar Rapids National Bank teller, is under arrest on $20,000 embezzlement charges. He allegedly confessed twice, claiming the money was moved in two staged thefts and later loaned to him by James K. Cagney, a claim contradicted by Cagney. Ball set at $5,000. Perrin held in city jail after failing to secure a bondsman.
