Light ship sunk by enemy submarine off Cape Hatteras

Man Arrested for Illegally Wearing U S Army Uniform

Mt Paso Texas August 7. A man was arrested for illegally wearing the uniform of the United States Army. The case links to efforts by L L Brown of Iowa to evade military service at Camp Cody New Mexico. Brown induced La Beers to wear the uniform and return to Cody. Brown was reportedly identified at Cedar Rapids on a charge. A ticket found with Brown indicated he intended to report for duty at Camp Cody.
