The Torch of Victory carried by New York women’s political union was formally transferred today to the New Jersey group. The ceremony occurred midstream on the Hudson river as delegates swapped the torch from the New York delegation led by Mrs. H. Havemyer to Mrs. Vanwinkle of New Jersey. The torch will travel by automobile through towns as part of the suffrage effort in New Jersey.
