The Morning Journal reports a chaotic brawl in New York sparked by a baseball dispute that drew up to around 5,000 participants. Nine men were hospitalized or jailed, with victims including Mrs. Ellen Bulger and others, as mobs clashed racially and violently in the Bronx and Harlem areas.
John Bulger found his widowed mother Ellen Bulger unconscious in their flat after an assault by a man described as Italian. Mrs Bulger says the attacker seized her from behind and entered from the roof, escaping when noise from the lower flat frightened him. She is likely to recover.
Fred Magill and his wife Fay Graham Magill were freed on $5,000 bonds each after being indicted for causing the death of Mrs Bret Magill. Judge Cochran set next Friday for trial in the case. In Brussels the government plans to expand Antwerp harbor with $2,400,000 for fortifications and docking to boost European trade.

Special Dispatch to the Morning Journal reports in Estancia New Mexico that the jury for Jap Clark had not reached a verdict by late afternoon. Jurors had been out since 1 a m. rumors say the panel is evenly split. Communication by wire with Estancia closed before any decision.

The death at his home last evening has led to a private service arranged for Wednesday afternoon at Aspect. Only relatives and close friends will attend. In line with the sculptor's wishes, the body will be cremated.
Captain S C Young returned from Isle Royale in Lake Superior with the British flag planted and no opposition met.
