Warren district copper miner testifies that J W W tried to intimidate him to deter a witness in July 1917. The ensuing testimony outlines alleged threats and the miner's account of the contact days before the events in question.
Samuel Ryall testified at the Harry Wootton kidnapping case that he was urged four times to join the June 26 1917 strike and refused for patriotic reasons and to support his wife and son. Other miners described I W W buttons red cards and arrival of strike makers. A fellow witness noted a warning Bisbee would blow up and a patient warned of danger.
A snowslide swept away the house of Wa sateh Mines employees Odgaard and a unidentified man, killing Alan Odgaard and his wife and the other man in Little Cottonwood canyon north of Salt Lake City. The accident was reported as occurring late today. The Wa sateh Mines company owned the destroyed house. Presidents Mea Howdy Jucayaquil Ecuador and President Moreno of Ecuador met at the boundary line between Ecuador and Colombia, with hymns of Menador and Colombia played as the two leaders shook hands.
