Philadelphia hosts a 200th birthday Franklin relics show at the Masonic temple to honor Franklin’s services to Masonry. Grand Lodge organizers led by Wannamaker and others collected rare books documents and instruments once owned by Franklin, now under control of librarian George B. Rupp, with public viewing through April 23.

Altoona March 8 The annual convention of the School Superintendents of Pennsylvania opened with a large attendance and three days of sessions in the new High school auditorium. Topics include Manual Training in the Grades reasons for pupils leaving high school and remedies and training of inexperienced teachers. Prominent speakers include Dr Frank McMurray Dr William B Chancellor State Superintendent N C Shaeffer and Dr G W Gerwig. The final Friday session will consider planning a model course of instruction.

Old lovers wed after 75 year wait in Penfera township
Captain Samuel Kuhns and Mrs. Sarah Crawford, both over 100, were childhood sweethearts. They reconnected after a reunion of army veterans and quickly married in Penfera township. Kuhns had served in the Mexican and Civil wars and endured Libby prison before finally uniting with his long ago love.

Estancia Lodge Promoters Work For New Masonry Initiatives
Estancia residents Dr. John Norris J F Lasseter and G H Van Stone visited Montezuma lodge No 1 in Santa Fe to advance plans for establishing a new Free Masonry lodge in Estancia. Nine master masons are needed for charter, about twenty are in Estancia, and a Grand Lodge petition will be prepared by James G Fitch of Socorro. The Estancia lodge would appoint officers, pass competency exams, secure a hall and paraphernalia. Mrs Bambini offers scalp and cosmetic treatments at 209 West Railroad Avenue with vegetable preparations, a vibrator machine for scalp and facial therapy, and other beauty cures.
