Gallup Dispute Heads to Court Over City Status

A temporary injunction blocks the newly elected Gallup officials from acting as the city government while a suit challenges the legality of their election and ward division. The case, led by former town clerk F. W. Myers, seeks to restore old trustees and require turnover of city books and paraphernalia. Meanwhile, local baseball fans anticipate a Sunday game between Santa Fe Centrals and the Browns with local players Gallegos Pettus Richardson and McDonald in key roles.
