The Santa Fe roundhouse in San Bernardino collapsed before 11 a m, burying ten l ives under debris. Engineer H L Preston was injured but not seriously. No cause yet. officials consider it a weight failure in a condemned building. 250 workers cleared the wreck by nightfall. repairs and replacement cost uncertain but not expected to exceed 2000 for locomotives.
