Revenue Service Review Highlights Albuquerque Impact
A detailed review shows Albuquerque, Barelas, and Old Town collectively paying about 15 percent of New Mexico revenue and a third of state taxes. The district notes rising internal revenue receipts over the past decade, with shifts in liquor licensing, brewers, distilleries, and tobacco factories, alongside declining oleomargarine taxes due to policy and pricing changes.
