Burglar Captured After Rio Grande Burglary
Albuquerque police captured H Verner a 27 year old German born carpenter who broke into the F J Houston store on Gold avenue last evening recovering six kodaks six razors and six revelers and more than 200 in cash and valuables seized and identified by Houston Two officers chased Verner through West Silver Avenue to the viaduct where he was arrested and later confessed His capture ends a spree that included a planned trip to Washington and a string of tools and firearms found in his room He faces a grand jury after pleading guilty and bail was set at 1000.

Death by own action of elderly veteran in Somers home
An elderly ex soldier Somers died by his own hand in his room after leaving a note and $35 with J C Baldridge the keys to his home. Fire destroyed their set and costumes, the treasurer vanished, and the troupe faced poor business, yet the show featured lively Mexican and Spanish dances and singing.
