Ambitious German Naval View On U S Japan War Powers

Commander Liersemann argues in a European essay that the United States and Japan rise as naval rivals. He warns the Pacific coast could be blockaded, Panama Canal extensions matter, and Japan could seize Philippines and Hawaii unless the U S expands its navy and global reach. He outlines two-front war risks and the need for a strong coast defense and overseas stations.
