Roswell dispatch December 3 reports the corner stone laying of St Marys hospital built by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother. Hon Herbert J Harriman New Mexico governor presided as 400 attendees attended with Father Herbert blessing the stone and placing coins beneath it. Mayor J F Hinkle introduced speakers Hagerman and Father Herbert. Funds come from public subscription and total cost is about $25 000. Once finished the hospital will treat patients from all classes.
