He describes Quillayute and Port Angeles as timber hubs, notes giant white pines, dairy farming on meager roads, and forecasts railroad development and harbor prosperity.
Pain and neuralgia relief claims are promoted for Dr Miles Anti Pain Pills. A user testimonial from Co L Russell attests headaches subsiding after use, Mrs M J Hamilton endorses neuralgia relief, and the ad promises a money back offer on the first package through Miles Medical Co.
Mrs A C Williams recalls marked for death three years ago and credits Dr King’s New Discovery with restoring her health and gaining 58 pounds. The ad touts the cough and cold remedy as world renowned, pneumonia preventive, sold by M C Beck’s drug store with a 50 cent to 1 dollar price and trial bottle. Bee's Laxative Cough Syrup promotes relief from coughs croup and whooping cough, marketed by M C Beck’s and praised for prompt relief and gentle laxative action.
Joseph Shew described a family visit as Mrs. Catherine Shew aged eighty eight joined two sisters Mary Evercote aged eighty six and Mrs. Sarah Wilcox aged eighty four in a likely record as the oldest sisters living. They are daughters of Joseph and Mary Ann Masters who have three younger sons.
