Pioneer Wrangell resident Dies After Long Illness
David Wing 80 longtime Wrangell resident since 1911 died Tuesday night at Bishop Rowe General Hospital after a lingering illness. A Cassiar mining pioneer Wing died single in Wrangell. Funeral services were held yesterday. He is survived by two sons Joel of Wrangell and Walter of Seattle.

Lillian Swanson Taken By Death In Petersburg
Lillian J. Swanson prominent Petersburg businesswoman died last Monday after a yearlong illness. She will be buried tomorrow in Rose City Park cemetery Portland Oregon. A memorial service was held Tuesday at Evangelical Lutheran Church Petersburg. She was born December 15 1982 in Wyoming Minnesota and moved to Portland in 1912. Swanson operated the Lillian Shop from 1928 until illness. She held several local posts including Petersburg Chamber of Commerce president and American Legion Auxiliary president. She is survived by three brothers and three sisters.
