Government sets second registration under the Selective Training and Service Act for all men aged 21 on July 1 1941. In Petersburg the city building will host registration from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The proclamation by President Roosevelt orders nationwide registration in the United States Hawaii Puerto Rico and Alaska for eligible young men born after 1 1900 and before July 1 1920.

Permit Required For Sand Removal From Sandy Beach
Forest Service restricts sand removal after large haulage. Individuals needing small amounts for gardens may obtain a permit at the Forest Service office.
