Sport Fish Rules Changes Announced in Alaska Supplement
Fifty thousand copies of the 1960 Sport Fishing Seasons and Bag Limits supplement are sent to state agents. Ed Marvich, chief of the Sport Fish Division, urges all sport fishermen to study changes. Amendments include required sport fishing license for smelt, dip net use only in fresh water, 6 salmon daily in Stuk River Yakutat area, and a SE Alaska bag limit of 50 pounds of king salmon with size rules, return undersized fish.

Mount Bennett crash leaves 13 bodies on mountain
Rescue crews removed one woman’s body from the Pacific Northern Airlines crash on Mount Bennett near Anchorage. The other 13 victims and mail remain on the 9600 foot site due to avalanche danger and disintegration on impact. The plane, a four engine transport, came down Monday between Cordova and Anchorage. fifty passengers had departed at Cordova. The recovered body is still unidentified.

Death of long time fisherman Olaf Tenfjord at 85
Olaf Tenfjord died last night at age 85 in Petersburg after a life spent sailing and fishing from Norway to Minnesota and Alaska. He was born September 14 1884 in Namdalen Norway and later owned the Mira halibut boat. Survived by three brothers Simon Thomas Louie and sister Margaret with daughter Norma Tenfjord. Funeral at Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday June 20 at 2 p.m. Donations to the heart fund requested.
