The Supreme Court refused to review the Ninth Circuit decision in the Moyer case from Juneau. Marion D. Moyer was injured in a plane accident in 1934 and sought damages under a Nebraska accident policy. The courts held that “participating in aeronautics” does not apply to air travel, so the insurer must pay Moyer $1,452.50 plus $500 in attorney fees.

Boy Suffered Plumitis After Christmas Plum Pit
Conshohocken, Pa. Howard Noble, 12, was rushed to the hospital with sudden illness. Surgeons removed a plum pit from his appendix after he reportedly swallowed the seed last Christmas. The condition was diagnosed as plumitis and treated successfully.

Franklin McCall, a 21 year old truck driver and minister's son, confessed to writing three notes and securing the $10,000 ransom.
