A large audience attended a recital by Alaska pupils at the Coliseum. Most listeners were spellbound by the program, but the balcony was disrupted by a small group of youths. The writer urges a responsible adult be assigned to halt disturbances at future Music Trail events to protect the majority who came to listen to good music.
At the Town Council meeting Miss Annette Jacobson public health nurse presented the annual health report. She highlighted 103 chest x rays funded by the Alaska Department of Health TB program, seven well baby clinics, 1023 immunizations, 1100 home visits, and patient referrals to sanatoriums and specialist clinics.
In a Manhattan College address, Wm J Walker explains Taft Hartley as a pro labor Bill of Rights adding worker rights not in the Wagner Act. He lists rights including job security, express opinion, freedom from union threats, ousting poor unions, right to strike, control of initiation fees, union finances transparency, political support, and fair grievance handling.
Postmaster Dick Brennan urges minimizing calls to keep the telephone available for real emergencies. Arvid Norheim Ted Has brouck Roy Orness and Gene Sheldon are now at Fort Richardson for induction into the armed forces. The men left last week for service according to word received locally this week.

A December 28 lodge initiation is planned with two transfers Kurt Nordgren and Cliff Southers and new members listed. Barn Dance planned for January 6. Bob Thomas departed for Seattle.
