C of C Discusses Salmon Fisheries
Chamber of Commerce members debated salmon fisheries during a Wednesday meeting at Sammy's Cafe. Packer Frank S. Barnes and Bill Weiss of the Alaska Salmon Purse Seiners Union spoke on upcoming conferences with Alaska Fisheries officials. Delegates from ASPSU and United Fishermen groups joined the discussion and a plan to prepare changes to next year’s salmon regulations was urged. A special Sunday meeting will consider fishermen drawn proposals.
