Meeting of Board To Plan Cemetery Peters burg Memorial Cemetery
Nine local groups attended the cemetery planning meeting. Lloyd Swanson was elected chairman and Mrs Viola Sivertsen secretary treasurer. A committee led by Mrs Carroll Clausen Carl Swanson and Justin Lind will study the city ordinance to submit to the Peters burg Common Council for adoption into laws. The council may buy red cedar posts for a fence and authorize landscaping. Funds include 97 50 from Kayler Dahl Ohmer canneries to start the beautification fund. Additional donations will be sought from businesses unions and residents via containers. Next meeting is Wednesday evening September 4.
