Taconite Yacht Anchors in Narrows with Boeing Party
The palatial yacht Taconite owned by Mr. Boeing visited the Narrows off Petersburg for about an hour on Monday afternoon. Mayor Earl N. Ohmer met the party aboard, which included Mr. and Mrs. Boeing, their two sons, and other guests. Afterward they planned a southeastern Alaska cruise for weeks before returning south possibly via Petersburg. The 135 foot vessel uses two Winston Diesel engines and a 130 hp Chrysler tender.
