Grand Pas de Quatre by Ballet Cleste International at Petersburg High

Four dancers from Ballet Cleste International will perform the Grand Pas de Quatre at Petersburg High School on August 6 at 8 00 PM. The event, part of EXPO 70 representation, includes other ballets and a reception after the show. Tickets: 1.50 children 3.00 adults. Proceeds support the Petersburg Performing Arts Group.

Halibut weight limits eased after mercury tests in Alaska

Sen. Ted Stevens announces relaxed halibut purchase limits in Alaska following a mercury testing program. The Halibut Association of America and federal agencies report most Alaska caught halibut are below FDA mercury standards, with larger fish restricted only in certain hot spots and coastal areas. Stevens says the program can continue on a common sense basis and may trigger hearings if needed.
