State Schools Receive 286000 From Oil Leases
State Land Commissioner Nelson A. Field directed 39 banks to remit 286686.89 to the state treasury for distribution to beneficiaries of federal land grants. J. W. Hatfield in Alamogordo reports a test car of talcum mined in the San Andreas mountains west of Tularosa was shipped to Des Moines Iowa for commercial powder testing. Sutton pint associates of Tularosa contracted the car and believe theSan Andreas talcum is nearly pure with little sulfur. If the test succeeds a talcum industry may grow west of Tularosa in mining and shipping talcum products.

Tragedy At Brush As Train Severely Injures Child
Dora Hellman three, daughter of farmer Philip Hellman, was crushed when her foot caught in a cattle guard on a Union Pacific track near Brush Colorado.
