Alamogordo High School held its annual commencement in the auditorium last Friday at 8:00 pm with the senior class presented by the junior class. Mrs. Fannie E. Frye aged 46 died Tuesday May 13 at her home after a long tuberculosis illness. Funeral by Rev. W. C. Taggart at Geren and Hammond parlors followed by burial in the local cemetery. She leaves husband John E. Frye and four children. The family came from Lawton Oklahoma in January seeking her mother's health.

Heritage Herald Tour Passes Through Alamogordo and Roswell
The Herald automobile endurance tour traveled from El Paso to Alamogordo on Tuesday with noon control there and stopped in Roswell Monday night and Carrizozo Tuesday night. Twenty six entries started, across five classes, including Studebaker and Buick models, with observations by pilots and observers, and spectators numbering over a hundred.

Changes at Alameda Park Include Pond Fill and Deer Relocation
A municipal park north of the railroad station has undergone changes. The east pond was filled and will be reseeded with grass to create a resting space. The deer park was moved to the west side near the railroad to be visible to train passengers. The west pond will be maintained to prevent stagnation, and overcrowded fishing by boys led to a thinning of the fish. The old west band stand was torn down. After the Tuesday business session the local Rebekah Lodge surprised Miss Juanita Mann with a handkerchief shower to show appreciation for her faithfulness and help in lodge activities.
