After months of effort by the Grade Schools and PTA the Alamogordo High School piano project is a done deal. Miss Maude Oliver and Supt. W. Barnie Caton bought a Baldwin Parlor Grand Piano in Roswell for 2811 dollars from Ginsberg Music Co. Delivery in three weeks. A dedicated platform will house the instrument and a fall concert will mark its dedication. The final concert raised about 110 dollars, bringing the fund to 1500 dollars with school authorities covering the rest.

Rev. Eual F. Lawson announced his resignation from the First Baptist Church of Alamogordo effective July 1. Gilliam of Henryetta Ohio for the death of Mrs. Peeler on a highway east of Tularosa December 26 1944. Peeler awarded additional eleven hundred seventeen dollars for funeral expenses and car damage.
