The Otero County Democrats met in Alamogordo and endorsed Woodrow Wilson for president. Delegates chosen to the state convention at Clovis were Byron Sherry, George Bent, J. B. Blea, Tom Charles, Tom Tucker, J. L. Lawson, and L. R. Hughes, with seven votes pledged to Wilson as a unit.

Striving for National Honors at NM Institute for the Blind Meet
The seventh national contest for the New Mexico Institute for the Blind took place Saturday morning on campus starting at 3 0. New Mexico, in its third year in the National Association of Schools for the Blind, previously earned top honors in two of three events and then swept all three in the prior session. This session featured only two contests, with the boys indoor event canceled, and the girls meet suggesting NM should take first place based on past performances. Accident Injures Mrs Osby After Train Return
Mrs. Tom Osby suffered serious injuries last Saturday evening when the horse team of a hack frightened by a train whistle bolted after she had returned from Alamogordo. She was unconscious two days and slowly improving. An Alamogordo physician was called in for consultation midweek.
