Pathfinders Reach Alamogordo Ahead of October Race
The Pathfinders rally a motor expedition to lay out the route for an October endurance race from Dear to Mexico City with about 50 to 60 cars and 200 participants. The party arrived in Alamogordo at 3 30 p m Tuesday and left at 6 o'clock Wednesday. Driver lly Knipper leads with W E McCatton and F Spooner as reporters. The trip covered 785.7 miles from Denver and Torrance to Alamogordo took eight days, with roads between Carrizozo improving the journey. Downe’s missed connection. Four Excursions for Cloudcroft Planned from Texas
Garnett King of the Southwestern reports four company excursions from Houston Galveston Beaumont and San Antonio to Cloudcroft with arrivals in El Paso on June 20 July 18 August 10 and September 10. Baptist College Closes For Term And Plans Faculty Change

Bold horse theft hits police chief barn
Thieves broke into the barn of Chief of Police 8 H Nimmo Saturday night and stole a dark bay horse and saddle. The horse, 14 hands high and branded F 8, belonged to Attorney J E Lawson who left it for safekeeping. Nimmo offers a $25 reward for the horse’s return as searches yield no clue.

Palmer Dies of Heart Failure in Oscuro
Joseph I. Palmer died at Oscuro Wednesday morning from heart failure. He supervised the railroad pumping plant at Oscuro and was born February 10, 1847. He leaves a widow and a son, Bert Palmer of this city. Funeral services were held yesterday morning from Buck undertaking rooms.
